withered

Yesterday I rediscovered these in a forgotten corner on my balcony and I spontaneously fell in love with them. I think I will keep them safe.

well, you got lucky twice, Ms. Iris. First time, when you discovered this, and second time, when you created an image out of it worth looking at. smile

PS. On other hand, don't you think the phrase "forgotten corner of the balcony" sounds a bit strange? There are only four of them, and all are under your nose. smile
iris: I am a lucky person, indeed, Viktor smile
The phrase "forgotten corner of the balcony" sounds strange to you? You must be a lucky person as well then ;-)

iris: smile it is really nice to know, that you can see what I saw! much appreciated, Suzanne!
In a word... beautiful. Another word... magical.
iris: Indeed they are, aren't they? I just had to press the button of my camera.
And thank you for stopping by, Odd!

very Nice Iris!
It represents so much more than faded beauty...it's beauty in the simplest form...
iris: Oh, that is well put, Nadiuska! Thank you!
Lovely shot!
iris: Thanks alot, Jesper! smile

I missed this one when it first appeared but Withered II sent me back to look for it - I'm glad I did, this is beautiful
iris: Thanks so much, Paul! Well, they are pretty photogenic, aren't they? smile
Like this, Iris: decay is often beautiful...
iris: I'm happy you like it, Dave.
And yes, I think so, too: there is a certain beauty in decay. In transformation and in aging in other words. It always reminds me of how powerful life is. Even if decay brings huge chances, it still preserves a sense of the past.

You know, Iris, when a so special soul is taking care in such an amazing way of these pieces, this so often forgotten 'something'...whatever it is, whatever they are, but we are humans, and we are also very devoted to forgetting things, the miracle is happening when we realize this and when we're remembering each and every important second (lived or dreamed). Thank you so much for this image, for this precious unforgettable memory!
iris: Codrin, multumesc mult pentru cuvintele tale speciale! You know, I truly believe the same. Every precious memory, that finds it's way back to our minds, is a little miracle. And for me it's also amazing, what can trigger a remembering. Sometimes it's a random word, a random thought, sometimes it's a certain song or a special scent. And when they appear, it is like finding and old photograph that was taken in a hurry to capture a fleeting moment for a yet unknown moment in the future, where we take more time to realize it's magic.
