Light is everything here; you've created a very particular atmosphere. I like composition, too.
iris: Very much appreciated, Leone!

I feel this is a very personal and intimate post, Ms. Iris. I truly hope the one whose guitar this is will help you in your fight.
Wonderful photograph, though, I'd be tempted to extinguish that bright light of the plastic plate behind teh guitar neck quite a bit. I think, it takes too much attention away from teh beautiful curves and and the rhythm of frets.
iris: This guitar belonged to my father. I firmly believe that he is trying to help me from above by sending flashes of memories from time to time.

Well.. this plastic plate gave me a hard time. But in the end I decided to keep it visible, as it is a part of this guitar I like a lot. Nevertheless, you are probably right. I'll give it a try. Thank you so much, Viktor!

beautiful Iris...

I am sooo jealous..I've been wanting to shoot a guitar for a while now..still haven't found anyone with one though..

But this is sooooo beautiful...
and the words to go with it...almost made me cry..
iris: Thank you, Nadiuska! It's good to know, that they envoked emotions in you. Though the fight is not easy sometimes, it is definitely worth every effort. So there is no need to cry, but to cherish the remembrances in the end.
beautiful iris and its great that the memories keep flooding back,i look at and fill my late fathers drinking glass from time to time and almost feel him supping it with mesmilesmile
iris: yes Tim, I know exactly what you mean! smile Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts!

looks like a vintage Gretsch F top guitar, in any case you show us a mood and memory here, i like it very much. I'm glad that this instrument has memories for you. mal
iris: Indeed, this guitar (a Framus Archtop with pickup, built in 1959) has memories, I really want to keep forever and cherish. It feels good to know that you like it, Mal. Thank you!

This is another photograph with so much soul and with so many emotions trapped inside Iris, even without your so beautiful words it's so touching...and with them written here is even more powerful, your sensibility is really overwhelming, filling everything! Thank you for sharing these incredibly important pieces of you!
iris: Codrin, your so special words are touching me deeply and mean so very much to me. You're so right about the emotions. So many of them found their home in this old guitar. They are foreverly entwined with every sound of a strummed chord, mirrored in any reflection of the light in its frets and coalesced with the sweet scents coming from its old wooden corpus. Multumesc asa de mult, Codrin!
